I am an American living in Buenos Aires and have a lovely 6-year-old kitty named Laika. I had an amazing consultancy opportunity come up in Mozambique and will be out of the country from December through March, when I return to finish my graduate program.I am looking for a reliable cat-lover to babysit Laika for all, or even part of the summer. All expenses paid, of course, plus a little extra if that will make a difference. She is laid back but playful, a little overweight, fixed and up-to-date on all her shots. No obligation implied- please, email with any and all questions. Thanks, Leslie

We live in Arlington VA and my 2 year old is in love with cats and dogs. We aren't allowed to have pets, since we rent, but could probably pull off sneaking her in for 3-4 months. You did say it was from Dec-March? I've written a children's book, see my website, titled Expat Cats and applaud you for seeking care for you cat. So many expats just dump their kitties once they leave the country. I brought back 5 cats from the UAE in 2002, when I returned to the US. Cheers, Leslie

Try posting classifieds in your local paper.. Or you can put fliers in your grocery stores. Babysitting a cat cant be to hard and people are so eager to make any extra money they way the economy is screwing them now a days..

I didn't know that there is a petsitting services nowadays. don't you have any friends there where you could leave you cat for those months, I think that's a better idea and also it's cheaper.

I know that some places offer like pet hotels. There is this one place by harrisburgh pa that we often take our dog when we go somewhere, and they give him a little couch, a flat screen tv and take him for walks ect. and it only cost us $10.00 a day. I would try looking up a place like that on the web. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
