Would like information about moving/living in Argentina. Am a single female, age 60, with two small dogs. Is it safe for a single female who has travelled extensively and has some experience living in foreign countries. Is there adequate health care for both animals and humans? This is a tough one -- what would be an above average cost of living per month. Any information that could be provided would be appreicated. Also, any recommended spanish language schools?

I am an American, raised in NYC..my husband is a Spaniard raised and educated in Buenos Aires. We are thinking of retiring in BA.

We both love it there..and he has some relatives in town.Is there a American expats group I can find in BA..for support, info..and socializing? My religion is Greek(American) Orthodox and I was also interested in finding a church ..as well.

ANy advise would be appreciated.Thank You, C.

I'm married to an Argentine citizen and we want to make a permanent move to northern Argentina. We currently live in California. I've managed to get a permanent resident visa for myself for 1 year through an Argentine consulate -- after submitting all the pertinent paperwork. We were told that the rest of the process for me will be completed when we arrive in Argentina on our next trip (in late October), by the Immigration authorities there. I've also been given some paperwork to submit for applying for a DNI number.

My question: Do you have an idea of what I should expect with respect to getting a permanent resident visa and a DNI number?

Anything I should do to speed up the process? Appreciate your help in this regard.
