Foreign vehicles loading fuel in Argentine gas stations along the border will have to pay the same prices as in their own countries, which is basically double the cost of gasoline and diesel in Argentina.Currently top grade gasoline in Paraguay costs 95 US cents a liter; in Uruguay 1.35 US dollars; Brazil 1.15 and Chile 1.17. In Argentina the average is 61 US cents per litre which means foreigners in frontier areas will have to pay an additional, almost doubling the price.

How would you like to distribute the MPG-CAPS in Argentina and around the world...Prices in Argentina will rise rapidly soon. Now is the time to have a product that will increase gas mileage 14% while decrease emissions up to 85% ! Call toll free for complimentary samples 800-609-7168

Hi I'll be traveling to Buenos Aires in August and am planning to make it over to either Bariloche or Mendoza to see the Andes. There's two of us and we're trying to decide between renting a car or taking the bus. What's the average price of gas per liter across the country?
Comment #3 John from Istanbul (Contact Member) -
Not sure on the price of gas at this moment, but you can't compare price wise the bus and renting a car.A car will give you more flexibility, but the price will be significantly higher. Last time I rented a car I paid $100 for the car for the weekend and another $100 for gas. When 500 km each way. The bus would have been about $6 per person each way.

Not everyone is a hobo John. It may not so much be a problem whether the gasoline is $1 or $150 a gallon. It's just a matter of planning the budget.
I have to agree with Mr. Terry here (or are you a Miss?), it is a matter of planning. If you have an unlimited load of cash then why go here in the first place, right? You went here to save, thus it is really self explanatory. Cut unnecessary traveling, plan where to go, get traveling packages, don't spend too much on clubbing and nightlife (unless it is what you went for that country for), and don't forget your medicine or supplements (unexpected failing of health may "cost" you a lot especially when you are not familiar with the country).

Why are people still using fuels like gasoline or other petroleum products when there is already a possibility of using electric cars.Although it is far more expensive for now, but if consumer demand for it more, more manufacturers of these technology will spring up thus lowering the price. Plus it is more environmental friendly as long as the source of electricity is not from burning something like fossil fuels etc.
Herbert some people are afraid of change and there are also people who could care less about the environment and then there are those who just don't think electric cars are worth all of the hassle.
I agree with Jake obviously there is one reason or another why people aren't going out and buying environment friendly electric cars instead of getting cars that use gas and pollute our earth.
Dana, I am sure everyone would love to have one of those cars but they are expensive, and not everyone can afford them.

Whilst I think the future could be in electric cars, has anybody explained how much more your domestic electricity bill will increase when recharging your electric cars batteries? A hand phone is one thing but recharging a battery that will power a car that will be able to carry four people for eight hours is bound to have a major impact on the size your electricity bill.

PRESENTING....ELECTRIC CARS....Electric Cars use the energy stored in a battery (or series of batteries) for vehicle propulsion. Electric motors provide a clean and safe alternative to the internal combustion engine. There are many pros and cons about electric cars. The electric vehicle is known to have faster acceleration but shorter distance range than conventional engines. They produce no exhaust but require long charging times.
Here is a link for more details.

An electric car is a car powered by an electric motor rather than a gasoline engine. From the outside, you would probably have no idea that a car is electric. In most cases, electric cars are created by converting a gasoline-powered car, and in that case it is impossible to tell. When you drive an electric car, often the only thing that clues you in to its true nature is the fact that it is nearly silent.
Under the hood, there are a lot of differences between gasoline and electric cars:
* The gasoline engine is replaced by an electric motor.
* The electric motor gets its power from a controller.
* The controller gets its power from an array of rechargeable batteries.
Electric seem to be the way to go..the least of the reasons being the ability to cut on pollution. Nonetheless, it seems that these types of vehicles require more care.I would still go for the usual cars that do not require anything like recharging the battery and stuff like that. Apart from not being silent while being driven and all other advantages, what sells short the electric cars?
How could that be possible cwemoy? I think we are still far from that scenario. It is a good thing that there are innovations on car technology that are environmentally friendly but we are still in the bridge of entertaining the technology or not. The electric cars are costly as well as the bulky solar cars with annoying solar panels.
But i believe that sooner there would be lots of improvements and costs could be dramatically reduced.

The price of gas in Trinidad is beside me. I could never understand why it is that in a country with such natural resources, with oil an gas being a major industry here and fuel for one's car is sky high, compared to places like the US where they actually have to be purchasing gas from us and what not.
Comment #18 Pinky (63.176.159.213) - 12/11/09 21:09
That is the trend Eve, and i think we have to just deal with them, or hope for some changes.
Comment #19 Eve (63.176.159.224) - 12/20/09 12:01
Hope is not getting us anywhere pinky. Not this kind of hope, at least. We must stop supporting them, in order for them to realize that we are wise of the situation. The truth is, they care not if we are wise of the situation, so long as we keep the world running. If we stopped all of which that we do in the world, what can 'they' do, but change.
Comment #20 adam (63.176.159.81) - 01/05/10 16:29
Why is this such a serious discussion? I do not understand the meaning behind the topic.
Comment #21 Pinky (63.176.159.224) - 01/27/10 21:38
So you mean to say that you and together with all the people in your place should stop using gas since those big companies are getting on your nerves? So what do you have in mind Eve? Hoping that things would get better is not a bad thing to do.But anyway, I have nothing personal over this matter but I still stand on my opinion. Have a nice day.
Comment #22 Nica (193.218.114.86) - 02/19/10 21:20
I think it is a give in take situation that you have to consider Eve, try to bargain things out with those greedy companies. Like you can indeed stop using their products for awhile and search for some more good means of traveling and then demand for what you believe would be the good for everyone. Have a good day guys and hope that things in your place be well soon.
