Nursing Homes in Buenos Aires

Does anyone know of good retirement homes in Buenos Aires, Argentina? My grandmother's nursing home is being sold and we need to move her to another good home where she will be well cared for. Any info you can provide will be appreciated.

I would be interested in a nursing home in Buenos Aires that has an English speaking staff.

Why don't you just take care of grandmother at home. You can hire someone (professionally trained) to take care of your grandmother rather than looking for another place to leave her into. And you could check her out anytime you like if she alright if do this.

I don't like the idea of retiring in nursing home even if they have the best staff, facilities whatsoever. I would rather die on the field that die on those places. I really liked Dave's idea. It shows more loving and caring for the elderly on your family when their at that stage.

I am interesting in a nursing home in Argentina that has a experienced nice staff, good food, a swimming pool, hot tub and soft mattresses.

I looked on Google for nursing homes in Argentina and didn't find much. I'm still trying to find some of my options for retirement, if anyone has information I would appreciate it.

Thank author of this post/commentYou need to do your search in Spanish and with the correct words... in Uruguay you'd probably want to search or "residential"'s which will give you too many results.

Maybe someone from Argentina can help with the correct Spanish words to describe what you are looking for...

Why not bring your grandmother home and pay someone like health professionals to do the work if you are busy with other things. In this way you can monitor your grandmother health and you can be with her in her remaining years.

Good idea Kira but experience with the elderly has taught me that they do not like being left alone. Different ideas work for different people differently.

It might help to use Google Maps to find the retirement home or nursing home or home for the elderly in your locality, though I'm not sure how much information there is. For the mean time, think of second options like what Kira said - hire stay-in nursing professional in your home to take care of your grandmother or maybe find a relatives house where she can temporarily stay and be cared for.
