Are you an imbecile?Look at what your website says: "Welcome to Text Messages WebSite! Our aim is to allow anyone with access to the Internet to be able to send a text message to virtually any cell phone in the US and UK!"
Now... can you tell me when Argentina became part of the United States and/or the United Kingdom?
Jill.. spammers are inherently of low intelligence and would never understand your question! Maybe someone has some links to the cell company websites in Argentina so we can directly send SMSs to people in Argentina!
Jack and Jill, I can not agree with the two of you more. I guess syed's link is a invalid post here. I also visited the website, and it kinda disappointed me because the cellular phone provider in Argentina is not enlisted in their services. If only we can report or bloc this imbecile's link from posting her, so he can learn something from messing with us. I guess we'll just have to wait for another one to post a text messaging system or website online.
I also went to that site.. I tried to send a message to see if this was total BS.. And just as I expected, nothing.. This site doesn't work..
That site doesn't work. I went to it and sent a number of messages to see if it would send and they didn't. Why waste peoples time?
I think Movistar's website is really stupid, loads slow is annoying and an example of extremely poor web design... BUT you can send SMS to Movistar customers in Argentina for free.
opps sorry.. that is much more convoluted than I thought it was and probably won't help you unless you are a Movistar customer and in Argentina.
do you know of any sites like that in the US?
I can't there are people stupid enough to write something like Syed did and expect someone to buy into it.
Lacy you are defiantly right but I think you left out believe in "I can't believe."
Why are people in this forum so dreadfully conscious about some omitted words that mistakenly done by others. Are we not aware about context clues here? Let us just focus on the forum's topic and issue instead of checking each others fault. So syed, I tried your site and it did not work, are you sure you posted the right link or website there? We would be glad to read a response from you.
We are civilized people, and I think we need to practice common courtesy and tactfulness. Syed just made a mistake, let´s just go on with our busines so he can try again. There´s no substitute for courtesy and a gentle attitude. Right? Right!
As far as I know, no one is making a fuss about omitted words. If you read the post without a fixated mind, you will notice that it is not offensive; rather it tries to capture the moment in a humorous way. I think courtesy is also a relative term. To one person, an action taken would be considered to be least courteous. To another, it will be courteous in the biggest words. Arriving at a middleground might be tricky but I think it would be important to apply it sparingly
Comment #14 pale_o (63.176.159.157) -
I do not think spammers make any sort of mistakes at all. In any case, syed posted a non-functional website so his actions need to be rebuked in the strongest words possible....ha haBack to you Hugo, so what is the topic in question in this case. I am a bit confused because the whole initial post seems misleading.
Would you prefer to send a text from the internet after all?
Comment #15 John from Istanbul (Contact Member) -
I used to use the internet daily to send SMS's to my friends via Movistar and then they screwed up their website.Typing a message online, compared to a cell keypad... the question is WHY would you send a message from your cell?
Sending message in the net, why would you just send emails instead. And why not just use your mobile phone?
And why are you trying to say that Hugo is being so fixated on the matter? (moy)
And why the heck did you post a fake link syed?
And why do you think the initial post is misleading?
And why am i asking this questions.. i got confused over this forum..
Why do you have so much question anyway?I think Bobart is just making fun out of the people here in this forum.
Comment #18 Eve (63.176.159.160) - 12/09/09 15:04
Everybody was calling this guy an imbecile when there is simply no need for such name calling. Yes! He did something unremarkably foolish, but do we call him a fool because of this? Or do we, simply, now try to find a website that actually works.
Comment #19 Belle (63.176.159.245) - 12/16/09 23:22
that is the point Eve, so, do you also manage to get a useful website that works as you are telling us here?Hey Bobart, why the hell are you posting here such questions that came from nowhere, well i must also say that they are all foolish. I think you should try to make some useful post, that way, you can make sure that no one is annoyed at you.
Comment #20 Aren seth (63.176.159.137) - 01/03/10 20:25
Why are all of you so worked up with a wrong or misleading posts. I do not see any reason to discuss about such issues any longer since you all made your point that his website is a big disappointment. Why just ask for sending text message to Argentina alone when you can ask for a website or third party software which can send any place on the globe. The closest I could think of a third party application that could send text messages is the Yahoo Messenger. Give it a try and maybe it could send a text messages to and from Argentina.
Comment #21 smithy (63.176.159.194) - 01/22/10 12:51
whatever works guys... whatever doesn't work needs to be gone.
Comment #22 Kindra (63.176.159.157) - 02/11/10 21:57
I just don't think that these kinds of websites actually work. I have tried once or twice using a third party application program and it is still not as efficient as when you actually have your mobile phone. If I may suggest, why don't you just try e-mailing or voice mailing (or better yet chat) with your friends through your usual third party applications (MSN, AOL, YM, GTalk) or e-mails (Gmail and Yahoomail).
