Best Way to Get to Iguazu Falls, Argentina?

Thank author of this post/commentI will be visiting Buenos Aires and would like to visit the Iguazu Falls while I am there. Has anyone personally made this trip who can tell me the best mode of transportation to the Falls? I understand that there is a tour bus, as well as air flights. Any information as to prices or other information will be much appreciated.

Hi there,

I just went to Iguazu Falls (its an amazing place!!). I flew with LAN and it was a really nice flight. I would avoid flying with Aerlineas Argentinas, they are really unreliable. The prices vary depending on the day of course, I think it costs about 150 US dollars return, though maybe more. The flight is about 2 hours each way and the Misiones airport is about 15-20mins drive out of town, there is a mini-bus available at the airport for 20pesos.

Many many bus companies go from Retiro Bus Station in Buenos Aires to Iguazu. The bus journey takes 18-19 hours each way and costs about 260pesos each way. Be sure to buy the full-size sleeping bed (cama ejecutiva), you want to be comfortable enough to sleep, otherwise it is a looooong journey! Try the link below to see the companies.

When you get to Iguazu make sure to see both the Argentina AND Brazil sides, they're very different and the experience isn't complete without seeing both.
